Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have Bachelor’s Degree in food science (dairy), engineering, or other relevant fields
Experience: Candidates should have Minimum of 10 years as a Production Manager/Production Director in a similar/size plant in the food industry

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have a solid track record of successful transformation projects (H&S, Quality, Innovation, and Productivity)
  • The candidates should possess expertise in continuous improvement and knowledge of systematic problem-solving processes (Six Sigma, and Lean)
  • The candidates should demonstrate leadership and planning skills effectively
  • The candidates should have a proven track record in improving cost base and plant performance
  • The candidates should have aptitude/experience in the financial measurement of plant performance
  • The candidates should be result-oriented with excellent communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to oversee and be accountable for the productivity/efficiency of the plant, quality control, maintenance, shipping, engineering, employee and union relations, health and safety, capital equipment planning, cost reduction initiatives, and continuous improvements
  • The candidates should be able to oversee the day-to-day operations of the plant to meet key performance indicators (metrics) such as quality, food safety, health and safety, customer satisfaction, and financial objectives
  • The candidates should be able to monitor daily, weekly, and monthly KPI results, communicate and educate employees, and develop and implement operational and capital budgets
  • The candidates should be able to develop and foster plans for the efficient use of materials, machines, and employees and direct, develop, and implement key projects at the location, including new products and/or equipment implementation
  • The candidates should be able to reinforce and promote an ongoing “change culture” and manage relationships in a progressive employee relations environment, ensuring the direct training and development of salaried and hourly personnel to enhance plant performance
  • The candidates should be able to liaise with government and regulatory agencies, oversee security and safety at the plant’s premises, and maintain good communication and relationships between management, employees, and union representatives
