Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have a university degree in Engineering or Business Management or college diploma in Engineering Technology or business and additional training or education
Experience: Candidates should have over 4 years hands on experience in scheduling

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be prepared to perform a variety of duties under usual business office conditions
• The candidates should be willing to travel in support of site meetings for the various projects/programs assigned. This may include overnight stays due to the distance of travel and to ensure safe conditions for travel

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should have a good knowledge of English to communicate effectively with others and prepare technical reports
• The candidates should possess experience related to the design, construction, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of transmission/distribution assets
• The candidates should have scheduling experience in transmission line and station projects or other linear project types
• The candidates should have experience in construction management or a related field, including understanding working drawings, preparing construction schedules for the full lifecycle of a project, project planning, estimating, and project controls
• The candidates should have practical experience using the scheduling tool Oracle Primavera P6 and should have experience with SAP
• The candidates should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel, practical experience in developing schedule networks (Precedence Diagramming method), and the application of the Critical Path Method, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• The candidates should have experience using the scheduling tool Oracle Primavera P6

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to develop and maintain project/program schedules related to transmission and distribution capital projects using the Oracle Primavera P6 scheduling tool
• The candidates should be able to understand the Scope of Work and define high-level deliverables of the projects, collaborate with project teams to elaborate work packages, and develop project schedules
• The candidates should be able to request and receive status updates from various functional discipline leads and project managers, incorporate their status updates into the schedule, and present the output in a manner that facilitates project planning and execution aligned with project objectives
• The candidates should be able to perform quality checks on schedules and able to identify critical and near-critical paths as well as trends to help the project team stay on track
• The candidates should be able to obtain agreement on project baselines and report performance against them and able to communicate project progress to the project team and stakeholders via reports and abstracts
• The candidates should be able to assist the team in developing and maintaining project/program schedules related to major, complex, or high-profile transmission and distribution capital projects
• The candidates should be able to assist in the development of work methods and processes consistent with departmental Project Controls methodology
• The candidates should be able to mentor students/trainees on regular duties and processes
