Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need any experience although having experience is an asset

Physical requirements:

  • Candidates should have the Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Candidate should be flexible and adaptable

Other Requirements:

  • Candidate should have knowledge of computer hardware and software applications and legal terminology
  • Candidate should have an excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Candidate should have an excellent interpersonal skill
  •  Candidate should demonstrate their ability to input, update, retrieve, maintain, format, and transmit information using computer software with speed and accuracy
  • Candidate should have the ability to accurately type and edit correspondence and other legal documents
  • Candidate should have the ability to use tact and diplomacy when serving clients and colleagues will contribute to their success in this challenging position
  • Candidate should exhibit leadership skills and professionalism
  • Candidates should embrace diversity and equality and be responsible and accountable

Responsibilities:

  • Candidate should be responsible for processing legal documents within King’s Bench database and/or other databases
  • Candidates should prepare affidavits of service, reconcile month-end financial reports
  • Candidate should prepare drafts/typing letters and court-related documents such as civil, criminal, adoption, estate, and divorce actions and compile jury lists
  • Candidate should independently perform complex clerical and receptionist duties including some financial and statistical matters for the Sheriff/Local Registrar.
