Bombay Trading Company Inc. based in Mississauga, ON is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Accountant. Bombay Trading Company Inc. is a privately owned Canadian Food Importer/ Wholesaler/Distributor specializing in East & West Indian, African Foods, spices, grains and dry fruits & nuts. We carry a wide range of imported and local products from around the world. First established in 1980 as a retail store in the downtown core on Bloor St. West and Lansdowne Ave. We decided later on as there was a void in the Wholesale market as well within the community and opened our business in the North West end of the city. The candidates selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Supervision: 3-4 people
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a trades certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years
Computer and technology knowledge: MS Excel

- The candidates should be able to work under tight deadlines
- The candidates should be able to handle large caseload

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to plan, set up and administer accounting systems
- The candidates should be able to ensure accuracy and compliance to accounting standards, procedures and internal control
- The candidates should be able to prepare financial information for individuals, departments or companies, prepare reports and audit findings
- The candidates should be able to supervise staff, prepare financial statements and reports
- The candidates should be able to recommend improvements to accounting systems and management practices, develop and maintain cost findings, reporting and internal control procedure
- The candidates should be able to prepare income tax returns from accounting records, analyze financial documents and reports, examine accounting records
- The candidates should be able to provide financial, business and tax advice, underwrite new issues of stocks and bonds, analyze clients’ financial records, develop financial plans for clients
