Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have a college Diploma (2 years) or acceptable combination of equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have minimum two years in an administrative role obtaining and processing detailed information

  • The candidates should have experience working with students with disabilities in a post-secondary institution
  • The candidates should demonstrate the ability to manage conflicting demands, prioritize tasks, and work under pressure

  • The candidates should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • The candidates should have a solid understanding of disability issues
  • The candidates must have the ability to exercise good judgment to meet tight deadlines in preparing and delivering test/examination material

  • The candidates should be efficient, capable multitaskers, and organized

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to work as a member of the Accessibility Services Exam Team to ensure academic tests/examinations are administered in a manner consistent with University of Toronto Mississauga policy
  • The candidates should be able to handle sensitive and confidential information, demonstrating knowledge and awareness of FIPPA (Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act), which is beneficial
  • The candidates should be able to pay attention to detail while preparing student packages for tests/examinations
  • The candidates should be able to respond to inquiries within the defined scope of the role and redirect them as appropriate
  • The candidates should be able to book rooms and arrange appropriate accommodations
  • The candidates should be able to liaise with contacts to ensure consistent administration procedures are followed
  • The candidates should be able to write routine documents and correspondence
  • The candidates should be able to verify the accuracy and completeness of documents
  • The candidates should be able to determine logistical details and activities for events and/or programming
