Kara-Kata Afrobeat Society of Canada based in Mission, BC is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Administrative clerk. Kara-Kata Afrobeat Society of Canada is a dynamic cultural organization dedicated to promoting Afrobeat music and culture. With a passion for African rhythms and vibrant performances, we aim to create a platform for artists and musicians to showcase their talents and celebrate the rich heritage of Afrobeat. Through concerts, festivals, workshops, and community engagement, Kara-Kata Afrobeat Society of Canada fosters cultural exchange, diversity, and inclusivity. The candidates selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Salary: $24.62 hourly for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Mission, BC

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to type and proofread correspondence, forms and other documents, sort, process and verify applications, receipts and other documents
  • The candidates should be able to process incoming and outgoing mail manually or electronically, perform basic bookkeeping tasks
  • The candidates should be able to provide general information to clients and the public, photocopy and collate documents for distribution, mailing and filing
  • The candidates should be able to order office supplies and maintain inventory, label, file and retrieve documents
  • The candidates should be able to locate and remove files requested, organize and schedule office work
