Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Mathematics or other technical discipline
Experience: Candidates should have 7+ years of relevant IBM Cognos TM1/Planning Analytics experience including system configuration, model building and developing reports or dashboards with TM1 and working experience with TM1Py, REST API
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have experience in writing SQL queries and stored procedures is required, along with expertise in data modeling, data warehousing, and building ETL pipelines, corporate finance experience, exhibiting knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting functions and processes
- The candidates should have proficiency with MS Excel, experience in designing and optimizing data-processing systems using AWS services (S3, EMR, Lambda, Glue, Athena, SNS, Cloud Watch, Redshift, Aurora/RDS) and experience with Java and scripting languages like Perl, Python, Unix shell scripts, VBA, and MS Excel
- The candidates should have experience in designing and delivering formal training curriculum and programs, proficiency with Microsoft Project, Visio, and SharePoint, Project management, scoping, reporting, and scheduling experience
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have TM1 technical skills, including Rules and TI coding, security setup, report development, and ongoing maintenance of existing models, TM1 soft skills, such as gathering requirements for new projects and providing user training
- The candidates should have relevant corporate finance experience, demonstrating knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting functions and related processes and familiarity with other IBM software products
- The candidates should have excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused, professional demeanor and work effectively on a diverse team
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to take on a wide variety of green fields projects and expand their skill set into data engineering with the AWS stack, Python, and TM1. This includes designing and implementing next-generation financial solutions based on a wide array of technologies with TM1 at its core
- The candidates should be able to interface with other technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from a variety of sources, continually improving ongoing reporting and analysis processes, automating or simplifying self-service support for customers
- The candidates should be able to collaborate with business users, development teams, and operation engineering teams to address business requirements and deliver against high operational standards of system availability and reliability, the candidates should dive deep to resolve problems at their root, looking for failure patterns and suggesting fixes
- The candidates should be able to architect finance solutions with a mindset of using all technologies at their disposal and build and enhance software to extend system, application, or tool functionality, improving business processes and meeting end-user needs within the overall system architecture
- The candidates should be able to diagnose and resolve operational issues, perform detailed root cause analysis, respond to suggestions for enhancements, and create detailed recommendations for solutions to problems that impact code owned by another group
- The candidates should be able to identify process improvement opportunities to drive innovation is also part of their responsibilities
