Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: Auto Body Repairer Trade Certification
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to demonstrate professionalism in customer service and review damage reports and estimates of repair costs, planning work to be performed
- The candidates should be able to replace front-end components, body components, doors, and frame and underbody components
- The candidates should mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting and remove damaged fenders, panels, and grills, bolting or welding replacement parts into place
- The candidates should be able to inspect repaired vehicles and test drive them for proper handling
- The candidates should be able to adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of automotive systems, test and adjust units to specifications, and complete reports to record problems and work performed
- The candidates should be able to coach and instruct apprentices, test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s specifications, and review work orders and discuss work with the supervisor
- The candidates should be able to estimate parts and labor costs, and provide customer service
- The candidates should be able to inspect the motor in operation, road test motor vehicles, and test automotive systems and components
- The candidates should be able to diagnose faults and malfunctions, confirming findings with the supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace the unit, and then proceed to repair or replace mechanical units or components
