Shifts: Evening, Night, Weekend, On Call, To be determined
Work setting: Hotel, motel, resort and Lounge or night club

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Student status: Full time enrollment, and Part time enrollment
Credentials: Smart Serve and Safe Food Handling certificate

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be focused on client needs, have efficient interpersonal skills, and demonstrate excellent oral communication skills
  • The candidates should take initiative in their work, be well-organized, and maintain reliability in their tasks
  • The candidates should be strong team players and uphold a positive attitude

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to clean the bar area and wash glassware, serve food or snacks, and provide recommendations on drink selections
  • The candidates should be able to clean the draft beer system, advise on wine selection, and collect cash, credit/debit cards, or other payment for beverages while operating a cash register
  • The candidates should be able to operate a video lottery terminal, record and balance beverage sales, and store beverage and food products while enforcing provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations
  • The candidates should be able to prepare mixed drinks, wine, draft or bottled beer, and non-alcoholic beverages, and take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons
