Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have college/CEGEP graduates
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 years to less than 3 years

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be comfortable with performing repetitive tasks and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail
  • The candidates should be adaptable to a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and be capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling as required

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be punctual in their work attendance and demonstrate dependability in fulfilling their responsibilities
  • The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills and exhibit excellent written communication
  • The candidates should display flexibility in adapting to different situations, be reliable in meeting their commitments, and be effective team players

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers, and assist early childhood educators in keeping records
  • The candidates should be able to develop and implement child-care programs supporting the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • The candidates should be able to lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest, engaging them in various activities like preparing crafts
  • The candidates should be able to provide opportunities for children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
  • The candidates should be able to guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits, maintain daycare equipment, and assist in housekeeping and cooking duties
  • The candidates should be able to prepare snacks, arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods, and observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems, submitting written observations to early childhood educators or supervisors
  • The candidates should be able to discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings and attend staff meetings to address the same
