Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have completion of First Aid certification
Experience: Candidates should have chainsaw operating experience
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have a high level of physical fitness, including the ability to lift 60 lbs and work in varying weather conditions and a flexible schedule to accommodate weather-dependent work
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have strong mountain biking skills with an understanding of trail features and maintenance
- The candidates should have equipment operation experience (excavators, terrain tractors, ATVs) and a valid BC driver’s license
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to operate a variety of equipment, such as excavators, ATVs, chainsaws, and hand tools, to build and maintain bike trails
- The candidates should be able to ensure trails remain in top condition by inspecting and repairing features, drainage systems, and signage
- The candidates should be able to identify and execute necessary terrain modifications to enhance ride flow and safety and safely operate machinery, including excavators, chainsaws, line trimmers, mowers, 4×4 vehicles, and compactors on varied terrain
- The candidates should be able to perform daily inspections and minor maintenance on equipment and ensure tools and machines are stored and maintained properly
- The candidates should be able to provide a welcoming and helpful presence on the mountain for guests and assist with lift evacuations as needed (training provided)
- The candidates should be able to work effectively within a team while maintaining minimal supervision
- The candidates should be able to maintain a safe and organized worksite and ensure trails are clearly marked with appropriate signage
- The candidates should be able to adapt to changing weather and trail conditions to maintain operational standards
