Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have completion of First Aid certification
Experience: Candidates should have chainsaw operating experience
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have a flexible schedule to accommodate weather-dependent work
- The candidates should have strong mountain biking skills with an understanding of trail features and maintenance
- The candidates should have a high level of physical fitness, including the ability to lift 60 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have a valid BC driver’s license and equipment operation experience, including excavators, terrain tractors, and ATVs
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to operate a variety of equipment, including excavators, ATVs, chainsaws, and hand tools, to build and maintain bike trails
- The candidates should be able to inspect and repair trail features, drainage systems, and signage to ensure trails remain in top condition
- The candidates should be able to identify and execute necessary terrain modifications to enhance ride flow and safety, safely operate machinery such as excavators, chainsaws, line trimmers, mowers, 4×4 vehicles, and compactors on varied terrain
- The candidates should be able to perform daily inspections and minor maintenance on equipment, ensure tools and machines are properly stored and maintained
- The candidates should be able to provide a welcoming and helpful presence on the mountain for guests, assist with lift evacuations as needed (training provided)
- The candidates should be able to work effectively within a team while maintaining minimal supervision, maintain a safe and organized worksite
- The candidates should be able to ensure trails are clearly marked with appropriate signage, adapt to changing weather and trail conditions to maintain operational standards
