Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Overtime, Flexible Hours
Work Site Environment: Cold/refrigerated
Work Setting: Butcher shop, Supermarket and meat department, Supermarket/grocery store

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the French Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualification such as other trades certificate or diploma
or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates need an experience of 1-2 years

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidate should be able to work under pressure and be able to pay attention to detail
  • The candidate should be able to work with hand-eye coordination
  • The candidate should be physically demanding and be able to stand for extended periods

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be accurate and be able to work with being focused on the client
  • The candidate should be someone who can be dependent on and have an excellent oral communication skills
  • The candidate should be able to work in a flexible environment and be able to work with an initiative
  • The candidate should have judgment skills and be able to work in an organized way
  • The candidate should be someone who can be relied on and be a team player

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate be able to clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting also cut carcasses, sides and quarters
  • The candidate should be able to cut, trim and prepare standard cuts of meat also wrap and package prepared meats
  • The candidate should be able to remove bones from meat also weigh meats for sale
  • The candidate should be able to cut poultry into parts also sell meats to customers
  • The candidate should be able to grind meats also make special sausages
  • The candidate should be able to slice cooked meats also prepare special displays of meats, poultry and fish products
  • The candidate should be able to shape, lace and tie roasts, other meats, poultry and seafood
