- The candidates should demonstrate expertise in contract and vendor negotiations, legal and regulatory compliance, and proficiency in frameworks such as ISO/IEC 27001, ITIL, COBIT, and NIST
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to fortify the protection of academic, research, and administrative data and systems against evolving threats, including those posed by organized crime and nation states
- The candidates should be able to report directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and hold delegated authority from the President, underscoring the strategic importance of this position within the organization
- The candidates should be able to participate in an information security program rooted in shared risk management responsibility, involving collaboration between the CISO, Unit Heads, Faculty, and individuals
- The candidates should be able to prioritize academic, functional, and operational outcomes, high-impact risks, and alignment with university Information Security Standards and regulatory requirements
- The candidates should be able to protect people, data, and digital assets
