Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have Post secondary education in Social Sciences field (BSW)
Experience: Candidates should have experience in case management and front line service delivery in the Child and Family Services field

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to provide and maintain a Satisfactory Criminal Record Search (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check, Prior Contact Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check
  • The candidates should be able to travel, including by air in a small aircraft, throughout the Province on a regular basis with possible overnight travel
  • The candidates should have strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • The candidates should possess and maintain a valid Full Class 5 Manitoba Driver’s License, or equivalent, and have access to a personal vehicle
  • The candidates should have demonstrated knowledge of adult learning principles, with experience designing and delivering training to adult learners
  • The candidates should have experience working with the Child and Family Services Information System (CFSIS) and Intake Module (IM) and thorough knowledge of Child and Family Services legislation, standards, and agency operating procedures
  • The candidates should have strong verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver information effectively to various individuals and excellent written communication skills with experience developing a variety of materials
  • The candidates should have exceptional interpersonal skills are needed to effectively build and maintain strong working relationships with a variety of individuals
  • The candidates should have proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) or similar software applications is expected

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to work as a member of the Child and Family Services Applications (CFSA) team to provide training for Child and Family Services (CFS) users at the Child and Family Services Division, CFS agencies, and regional offices
  • The candidates should be able to provide input into the development and operations of the CFSA to meet the procedural and operational requirements of CFS, including requirements of the Child and Family Services Act
