Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of graduate from high school
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work cooperatively in a team environment and be willing to submit a satisfactory code of conduct

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to hold an equivalent qualification and successfully completed a one-year Office Administration Program
  • The candidates should have successfully completed an approved Medical Terminology Course or be willing to obtain it within a time frame determined by the employer
  • The candidates should have current certification in Standard First Aid and CPR or be willing to obtain it and a Class V driver’s license
  • The candidates should demonstrate initiative to meet the goals and objectives of the department using methods and products approved by the department with minimal supervision

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to complete monthly statistics, prepare cash balances, and complete admission or separation forms
  • The candidates should be able to coordinate external appointments, book clients’ transportation, and ensure quality assurance is maintained by using an auditing log
  • The candidates should be able to be responsible for typing, filing, answering phones, and relaying messages efficiently
  • The candidates should be able to pull health records for the following day and return records to the health room
  • The candidates should be able to maintain health records in accordance with community clinic policies
  • The candidates should be able to familiarize themselves with filing systems necessary to maintain and control the prompt retrieval and accessibility of medical records
  • The candidates should be able to perform daily control of miscellaneous filing of patient reports and ensure release of information forms are completed prior to releasing information
  • The candidates should be able to fax reports as requested by healthcare staff and complete cash reports and assist in maintaining accurate statistical data
  • The candidates should be able to enter OPD registry information accurately and timely and perform other related duties as required to support the clinic’s operations
