Salary: $23.00 to $26.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 hours per week

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Equipment and machinery experience: Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines and Computer-aided design (CAD)

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate the ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment, capable of meeting tight deadlines
  • The candidates should be comfortable with repetitive tasks, physically capable of meeting demanding job requirements, and able to stand for extended periods
  • The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail and be able to handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be accurate in their work, demonstrate dependability, and possess efficient interpersonal skills
  • The candidates should have excellent oral and written communication abilities, demonstrate flexibility, and show initiative
  • The candidates should be team players and quick learners

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to measure and lay out work pieces accurately in preparation for assembly, and read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables effectively
  • The candidates should be able to repair machine tools and parts proficiently, set up and adjust production machinery/tools with precision, and maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments meticulously
  • The candidates should be able to document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances accurately, maintain inspection records, and complete inspection reports comprehensively
  • The candidates should be able to set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools proficiently, and verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments meticulously
