Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess current Standard First Aid and CPR C certification
  • The candidates should consider having a Class 4 Driver’s License
  • The candidates should be prepared to provide criminal record clearance as a condition of employment

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to supervise and assist participants with additional physical, behavioral, or developmental support requirements in a variety of camp settings
  • The candidates should be able to work collaboratively with participants, parents, and supervisors to adapt activities and ensure camp programs are safe and accessible as the Inclusion Leader
  • The candidates should be able to provide one-on-one support to children in various camps, with experience providing positive behavior support, visual aids, and other behavior management strategies being an asset
  • The candidates should be able to have a love for working with children and youth, playing games, doing crafts, and working within a team
  • The candidates should be able to support the staff team and help plan and implement group activities and out-trips
  • The candidates should be able to program, lead, and supervise children in camps throughout the summer
  • The candidates should be able to demonstrate sound knowledge of games, crafts, sports, outdoor recreation, weekly program planning, and risk management
  • The candidates should be able to exhibit strong leadership abilities along with an understanding of how to effectively work with children
