R.J. Haney Heritage Village and Museum based in Salmon Arm, BC is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Dishwasher. R.J. Haney Heritage Village and Museum is known as a beautiful hotel park. Our hotel is set on 40 acres of the prettiest farmland in the Shuswap, the site comprises 24 buildings that are either replicas or originals and over 30 exhibits, including the original 1910 Haney House. We provide access to the Heritage Village and Museum, Children’s Discovery Centre, Sprig of Heather restaurant, walking trails, daily activities and tours. We also provide access to the special events hosted at the Village with our community partners, including High Tea, the Annual Car Show, Harvest Celebration and more. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as high school, bachelor’s degree, a certificate or a diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset, training will be provided
Certificates, licenses, memberships, and courses: Food Safety Certificate
Equipment and Machinery Experience: Electronic cash register
Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs)

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate should be able to bring clean dishes, flatware and other items to serving areas and set tables also clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts and waste disposal units
  • The candidate should be able to clear and clean tables, trays and chairs also load bus pans and trays
  • The candidate should be able to operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware and flatware also place dishes in storage area
  • The candidate should be able to replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas also sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand
  • The candidate should be able to scour pots and pans also portion and wrap foods
  • The candidate should be able to clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment also handle and store cleaning products
  • The candidate should be able to receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas also remove kitchen garbage and trash
  • The candidate should be able to sweep, mop, wash and polish floors also wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit
