Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a university degree
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to provide weekend coverage and leadership skills and the ability to function as part of a team
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have or post-secondary diploma, or equivalent industry knowledge and experience with CPKC, along with geographic, operating systems and commercial knowledge
- The candidates should have prior transportation experience with supply chain and logistic and strong analytical and decision-making skills
- The candidates should have attention to detail skills and strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- The candidates should have an advanced level of computing skills with the ability to learn new systems and adapt and deal with emergent situations on a continuous basis
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to coordinate short, mid-term demand (0 to 3 week window) to align with fleet requirements and coordinate empty order fulfillment to meet forecasts
- The candidates should be able to communicate directly with customers (priorities, contingencies) up to the traffic manager level
- The candidates should be able to develop action plans for dwelling equipment to meet KPI (key performance indicator) requirements
- The candidates should be able to communicate pipeline conditions to both internal and external customers and track supplementary, ancillary service charges in line with products and services sold
- The candidates should be able to monitor equipment flows in relation to trip plans and make suggestions for improvement
- The candidates should be able to enter all data in a timely manner into railcar, order management/demand management systems and ensure the integrity of the data
- The candidates should be able to manage and track various customer loading schedules and report on progress and variances
