Salary: $52.00 hourly 168 hours bi-weekly
Employment Type: Permanent employment – Full time, On the road job
Location: Fort St. John, BC
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence, Own vehicle, Willing to travel
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Area of specialization: Oil and gas well drilling and well servicing
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Credentials: First Aid Certificate, Well Service Blowout Prevention Certificate, Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness (H2S) Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Drug test, Medical exam
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, be physically demanding
- The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to handle Hand-eye co-ordination
- The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads
- The candidates should be able to work in outdoors and wet/damp areas
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be accurate, dependable, judgmental, and reliable
- The candidates should have excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, and be able to work as a team player
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to direct rig crew in setting up rigs and drilling, completing or servicing oil and gas exploration and producing wells
- The candidates should be able to ensure safety procedures are followed, maintain records of drilling and servicing operations
- The candidates should be able to operate controls of drill or service rig drilling and hoisting machinery
- The candidates should be able to train or arrange for training of crew
