Salary: $23.59 to $29.64 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 hours per week

Transportation information: Own transportation, and Public transportation is available
Work setting: Child care centre and day care centre or nursery school

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a College/CEGEP
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years
Credentials: Child development assistant (ECE level 1), Child development supervisor (ECE level 3), Child development worker (ECE level 2), Emergency child care first aid and CPR, Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Child Abuse Registry check, Immunization records, Vulnerable sector check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be non-smokers, exhibiting strong attention to detail in their work

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should exhibit punctuality in their attendance and possess efficient interpersonal skills for effective communication
  • The candidates should showcase excellent oral and written communication skills, demonstrating reliability in their work performance
  • The candidates should show flexibility in their approach to tasks and schedules, while also having interpersonal awareness for effective collaboration
  • The candidates should be able to collaborate effectively as a team player, upholding strong values and ethics in their professional conduct

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children, while engaging them in storytelling activities and leading various educational and recreational activities
  • The candidates should be able to encourage children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity, while guiding them in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits, and preparing snacks for them
  • The candidates should be able to observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems, prepare reports for parents or supervisors, and discuss the progress and problems of children at staff meetings, while establishing guidelines for behavior and maintaining collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers
