Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completed college or CEGEP education
Experience: Candidates should have experience of Experience an asset
Credentials: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate, First Aid Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate excellent oral and written communication

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the overall development of children
  • The candidates should be able to engage children in activities such as storytelling, teaching songs, and local excursions
  • The candidates should be able to order supplies and equipment and support early childhood educators in program implementation
  • The candidates should be able to assist in record-keeping and provide opportunities for children’s creative expression through art, play, music, and physical activities
  • The candidates should be able to guide children in developing proper habits and maintain daycare equipment, including housekeeping and cooking duties
  • The candidates should be able to prepare snacks, arrange rooms for lunch and rest, and observe children for potential learning or behavioral issues
  • The candidates should be able to submit written observations to educators or supervisors and discuss progress at staff meetings
  • The candidates should be able to knowledge of Day Nurseries Act and licensing regulations, establish behavior guidelines, and assess children’s abilities and needs
  • The candidates should be able to attend staff meetings, establish collaborative relationships, and plan environments that ensure children’s health, security, and well-being
