Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have a 3-year diploma/degree in Electromechanical, Mechatronics or related field of study
Experience: Candidates should have a 2 years of Experience working in an industrial environment or supporting an engineering teaching lab (Equivalency will be considered)

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should have practical knowledge of IoT and electromechanical engineering, demonstrating an understanding of both fields
  • The candidate should be proficient in various programming languages and development environments, including but not limited to C/C++, Python, VBA, Java, OpenCV, AWS, Oracle SQL Developer, Oracle Data Molder, CC&B, and Linux
  • The candidate should demonstrate the ability to work with ABB and Fanuc robots, along with proficiency in ABB Robot Studio, Machine Vision System, EasyBuilder Pro, RSLogix 5, 500, 5000, Factorytalk View Studio, and Ignition
  • The candidate should be skilled in design using AutoCAD, Solid Work, or Catia, showcasing expertise in computer-aided design tools

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to design and implement systems and procedures for demonstrating the safe and correct operation of equipment and tools
  • The candidates should be able to demonstrate and clarify for students a sound theoretical and working knowledge of all aspects of equipment, including safety, operating procedures, special applications, and setup, as well as troubleshooting techniques
  • The candidates should be able to proactively troubleshoot equipment to detect problems and determine the proper course of action for repair
  • The candidates should be able to ensure tools and components are stored in a safe and secure manner and in compliance with Health and Safety Guidelines
  • The candidates should be able to provide technical advice and recommendations to administration and faculty regarding the purchase of equipment, software, and consumables
  • The candidates should be able to perform other related duties as assigned
