Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have the ability to work effectively as part of a team and operate and troubleshoot equipment involved in testing
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should hold a general CMLTO license and demonstrate knowledge and skill in a general lab setting, with a strong emphasis on transfusion expertise and possess good verbal and written communication skills
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to perform routine maintenance and verification of laboratory equipment following approved work instructions to comply with regulatory requirements
- The candidates should be able to assist internal and external customers by utilizing excellent customer service skills
- The candidates should be able to execute and document testing-related quality control and assurance activities
- The candidates should be able to maintain technical competency and actively pursue continuous learning opportunities
- The candidates should be able to participate in quality improvement initiatives by applying superior interpersonal and communication skills
- The candidates should be able to conduct blood grouping, phenotype testing, antibody screening, and antibody identification for patient and donor samples
- The candidates should be able to perform advanced serological procedures, such as absorptions, elutions, titrations, and genotyping, to resolve complex antibody identification cases
