Location: Brussels, ON
Shifts: Weekend, Overtime, Flexible Hours, Early Morning
Transportation information: Own transportation, Willing to travel regularly, Valid driver’s licence
Work setting: Rural area
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Automated systems experience: Bulk grain or feed handling – automated, Feeding and watering system
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Driving record check (abstract)
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be a repetitive tasker
- The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
- The candidates should be willing to for overtime
- The candidates should be able to handle Hand-eye co-ordination
- The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be flexible and be able to work as a team player
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to feed inventory, handle animals, monitor animal health
- The candidates should be able to process pig litters, wean, and weed
- The candidates should be able to feed and tend animals, operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens
- The candidates should be able to detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry
- The candidates should be able to set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns, pens and chicken coops
