Salary: $15.50 hourly for 40 to 60 hours per week
Employment Type: Full time, Seasonal employment
Location: 561 Hwy 77, Leamington, ON, N8H 3V8
Shifts: Evening, Weekend and Early Morning
Work site environment: Candidates should work in dry pea and bean farming, fruit and vegetable combination farming, other vegetables and melon farming (except potato), cold/refrigerated, outdoors, wet/damp, dusty and hot place
Transportation/travel information: Own transportation required and valid driver’s licence required
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Type of crops: Asparagus, Bell peppers, Cabbage, Cauliflowers, Cucumbers, Garlic, Ginger, Grapes, Melons, Onions, Raspberries, Strawberries, Tomatoes and Zucchinis
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to handle heavy loads, pay attention to detail, perform repetitive tasks, stand for extended periods, distinguish between colours, sit, walk and also for bending, crouching, kneeling
- The candidate should be physically strong and also a combination of sitting, standing, walking
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work in a flexible environment and also a team player
- The candidate should have experience of equipment and machinery like Lift truck, Loader, Planting equipment and also Tractor
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able for grading, hand harvesting vegetables and also weeding
- The candidate should be able to clean crop, hoe crops, plant, cultivate and irrigate crops, fertilize and spray crops and also harvest crops
- The candidate should be able to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
