Location: Mossleigh, AB
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Overtime, Flexible Hours and Early Morning
Work setting: Room and board provided, rural area, willing to relocate and remote location
Work site environment: Candidates should work in floriculture production, outdoors, at heights, confined spaces, wet/damp, noisy, odours, dusty, hot and cold/refrigerated place
Transportation/travel information: Vehicle supplied by employer and drive manual transmission vehicle
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates need experience of 5 years or more
Type of product: Coniferous trees, Deciduous trees, Native plants and Perennials
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work overtime, under pressure, perform repetitive tasks, handle heavy loads, pay attention to detail, stand for extended periods, sit and also for bending, crouching, kneeling
- The candidate should be physically strong and also a combination of sitting, standing, walking
- The candidate should have hand-eye co-ordination
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work in a flexible environment and also in an organized way
- The candidate should be someone who can judge and also a team player
- The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills
- The candidate should have experience of equipment and machinery like Farm truck, Fertilizer applicator, Forage equipment, Lift truck, Loader, Manure spreader, Planting equipment, Sprayer or duster, Seed drill, Tillage equipment, Vegetable harvester and also Tractor
- The candidate should have experience of automated systems like Automated irrigation system and also Automated environmental control equipment
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able for brush collecting, clipping, hand harvesting vegetables, mixing fertilizer, stone and/or wood picking and also weeding
- The candidate should be able to clean crops, hoe crops, plant, cultivate and irrigate crops and also harvest crops
- The candidate should be able to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, write daily basic progress reports and also set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns, pens and chicken coops
