Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have High School Diploma, GED, Technical or Trade School
Experience: Candidates should have b engineer/light PLC and Welding experience (ARC / MIG / TIG / Wire feed)
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be prepared for working conditions that may include working outdoors on industrial equipment, as well as in cold, hot, and damp areas
- The candidates should be capable of lifting from the waist, lifting from the shoulder, prolonged standing, and repetition of hand and arm movements
- The candidates should expect to work at heights and bend as part of the working conditions
- The candidates should be aware that the role may require overnight travel about 20% of the time
- The candidates should be capable of reading mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics
- The candidates should be able to sit, stand, and drive for extended periods of time, lift heavy weights, and climb onto equipment
- The candidates should be reside within 25 km of the assigned Region/Base Location
- The candidates should possess standard tools used in the trade/craft
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess a valid Driver’s License and maintain a good driving record.
- The candidates should have a versatile equipment maintenance repair skill set
- The candidates should demonstrate the ability to adhere to Health and Safety regulations, including fall protection and lock-out tag-out procedures
- The candidates should have wrench-in-hand experience in mechanical, engineering, electrical, copiers, or cable installation (Experience limited to only computer/IT repair and installation is generally not a fit for this role)
- The candidates should be self-starters, driven by customer satisfaction, and passionate about equipment maintenance
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to prioritize customer satisfaction and exceed expectations
- The candidates should be able to maintain availability via phone and tablet for prompt customer support and to communicate regularly with store managers, district managers, and home office personnel
- The candidates should be able to conduct mechanical and electrical maintenance on light industrial equipment
- The candidates should be able to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently to keep equipment functioning properly
- The candidates should be able to test equipment after service/repair to ensure proper functionality.
- The candidates should be able to perform detailed inspections to prevent future issues and to read mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics
- The candidates should be able to clearly explain services and repairs to customers and provide detailed service reports daily
- The candidates should be able to address safety-related issues promptly and use sound judgment and to utilize computer/tablet applications for word processing, and spreadsheet modification
- The candidates should be able to handle phone calls and paperwork according to company policies
- The candidates should be able to complete other tasks assigned by leaders or senior field services professionals
