Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to provide subject matter expertise on the economic and political impacts on the business, legislation, competitors, regulators, trends, typically acquired through 7-10 years of financial advisory or sales experience with High Net Worth clients. They should have extensive investment knowledge and expertise, and a strong understanding of markets sufficient to respond to detailed and complex inquiries from a sophisticated, knowledgeable, and high-net-worth client group
- The candidates should be able to analyze customer portfolios and prepare retirement or investment plans. They should interview customers to define and analyze their needs and goals, identify gaps, discuss solutions, recommend an appropriate asset mix, and close the sale
- The candidates should be able to educate customers about their investments and portfolio. They should also educate Advisors and relationship managers about the role of the Financial Planning Consultant. They should possess very strong interactive or presentation skills sufficient to convey both factual and conceptual information or ideas to clients and the CIBC sales force, while establishing and maintaining good relationships with clients and colleagues
- The candidates should be able to share the results of customer discussions and coordinate the delivery of products or services sold with the relationship manager. They should identify opportunities to make referrals to other CIBC subsidiaries involved in client asset management and discuss these opportunities with the relationship manager
- The candidates should be able to maintain teamwork with relationship managers within the branch network in order to identify current and potential High Value Customers with investment, business transition, and estate planning needs, and obtain referrals. They should also conduct regular information sessions or seminars for relationship managers
