Mountain View Growers Inc. is known to specialize in high volume production of container grown broadleaf evergreens, conifers, deciduous ornamental hardy shrubs and blueberry bushes. We are a family known for organic farming using advanced techniques. We are known to serve fruits and vegetables coordinating all over Canada. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible. The job position of Forest Nursery Labourer is approved by LMIA. Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English or French Language.
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as a high school, bachelor’s degree, a certificate or a diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset, training will be provided
Type of Product: Coniferous trees
Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and perform repetitive tasks
- The candidate should be able to pay attention to detail and work for overtime hours
- The candidate should be a combination of bending, crouching and kneeling
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be a team player and be someone who can be relied on
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to perform tasks such as Cleaning crop, Greenhouse cleaning, Harvesting seedlings and Weeding
- The candidate should be able to mix and prepare soils also report signs of insect or disease damage
- The candidate should be able to clean work area, plant tree seedlings also plant and move trees
