Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have previous experience operating forklifts
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be willing to work rotating shifts, which include 7-day/12-hour shifts, days and nights, with a rapid rotation, receiving 84 hours every two weeks
- he candidates should have the ability to lift heavy objects (40 lbs) and perform physical tasks and be comfortable remaining seated for up to four consecutive hours
- The candidates should have strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety practices and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and workloads
- The candidates should be able to work in varying temperature conditions, be willing to wear appropriate safety equipment, such as safety shoes, hearing protection, and eye protection, which are provided by the company and the ability to work individually or in a team
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should hold a valid G2 or higher Ontario Driver’s License and ensure their detailed education and work experience are included in their resume
- The candidates should have basic computer skills, including familiarity with inventory control software
- The candidates should have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to operate various types of lift trucks throughout the facility (training provided)
- The candidates should be able to pick and move pallets based on production orders, load and unload materials from trailers
- The candidates should be able to utilize inventory control software to track the movement of materials and finished goods accurately
- The candidates should be able to move materials by hand as needed to support operations
- The candidates should be able to interact with autonomously guided vehicles to enhance workflow efficiency, occasionally hand stack cases of finished products
- The candidates should be able to perform daily inspections of lift trucks and complete the required forms
- The candidates should be able to perform basic housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organized work area
