Salary: $15.50 hourly for 40 to 84 hours per week
Employment Type: Full time, Seasonal employment
Location: Wilsonville, ON
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Flexible Hours and Morning
Work setting: Rural area
Work site environment: Candidates should work in Other vegetables and melon farming (except potato)
Transportation/travel information: Own transportation required
Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications such as a high school, bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Type of product: Vegetables
Type of crops: Bell peppers, Cabbage, Sweet corn, Tomatoes and Zucchinis
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work in fast-paced environment, perform repetitive tasks, handle heavy loads, pay attention to detail, able to distinguish between colours, stand for extended periods, walk, manually dexter and also for bending, crouching, kneeling and large workload
- The candidate should be physically strong and also have hand-eye co-ordination
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work in a flexible environment
- The candidate should be reliable and also a team player
- The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills and also values and ethics
- The candidate should have experience of equipment and machinery like Forklift
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able for hand harvesting vegetables, stone and/or wood picking, tying and also weeding
- The candidate should be able to hoe crops and also plant, cultivate and irrigate crops
- The candidate should be able to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment and also sort and pack fruits and vegetables
