Delfresh Mushroom Farm Ltd. based in Abbotsford, BC is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of General farm worker. Delfresh Mushroom Farm Ltd. Produce mushrooms and other highly perishable products need to be delivered in a timely, efficient and reliable manner. Fresh produce must be handled properly and shipped in the best possible environment. Our goal is to provide direct-to-consumer delivery within 18 hours of harvest. We maintain an operational flexibility accommodating changes in production, service, sales, marketing and merchandising. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Salary: $16.65 to $22.00 hourly for 30 to 60 hours per week

Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Flexible Hours, Early Morning, Morning
Work Setting: Rural area
Work Site Environment: At heights, Wet/damp, Odours, Dusty, Cold/refrigerated
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications such as a high school, bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset.
Equipment and machinery experience: Farm truck, Tractor
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Transportation/travel information: Own transportation
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and required to handle heavy loads.
- The candidate should be physically demanding and required to work under pressure.
- The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks on frequent basis.
- The candidate should be willing to work in bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, standing, walking position for extended periods of time.
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be efficient and a good team player.
- The candidate should be organised and flexible in nature.
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
