Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of High School education
Experience: Candidates should have previous grocery or retail and cash handling experience
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be capable of lifting and moving boxes and products, up to 75 lbs
- The candidates should be comfortable working on their feet in the store for long periods of time
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be computer literate
- The candidates should be able to sell alcohol in the province of British Columbia
- The candidates should be able to learn and demonstrate knowledge of sales training and related steps, effectively promoting products and services to guests to drive sales and enhance guest experience
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to perform fast, accurate, and friendly cashiering, efficiently collecting money tendered from guests
- The candidates should be able to maintain the store and products in a clean and orderly fashion, ensuring proper presentation to guests by marking all food and sundry items with appropriate prices and stocking shelves, including rotating perishable items, and maintaining an inventory control system
- The candidates should be able to continually strive to exceed guests’ expectations by providing excellent customer service and immediate response to any product or service shortfalls
- The candidates should be able to operate a computer POS system and follow all related procedures for processing transactions and maintaining accurate records
- The candidates should be able to perform daily operational routines, including merchandising, restocking, and completing cleanliness checklists, to ensure smooth store operations
- The candidates should be able to contribute to the positive growth of Panorama through suggestions and functions, adhering to all security procedures involving cash handling, theft prevention, liability, and premises security
- The candidates should be able to complete a retail training checklist, demonstrating their understanding of all operational procedures and protocols
- The candidates should be able to demonstrate knowledge of all Panorama products and services, assisting guests with inquiries and recommendations
