Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have educational qualifications such as Completion of a university Bachelor’s Degree
Experience: Candidates should have five years of progressively more responsible experience in Gifts Administration, preferably in the post-secondary sector

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to multitask and initiate, plan, manage, and implement special projects autonomously

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have exceptional attention to detail and financial experience with relevant accounting principles, along with specialized charitable tax receipting knowledge
  • The candidates should demonstrate the ability to compose error-free donor and stakeholder correspondence and have experience with best data practices and designing specialized reports
  • The candidates should have experience using online computer systems and portals and possess excellent organizational and administrative skills, along with the ability to deal effectively with people, and the capability to work with a minimal degree of supervision
  • The candidates should have supervisory experience in a unionized environment

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to ensure that all charitable donations received by the University are processed according to governmental and university policy
  • The candidates should be able to oversee the daily work of the Gifts Administration Assistant
  • The candidates should be able to act as the primary liaison with Finance related departments, external auditors, academic departments, and Advancement staff to coordinate donation accounts, analyze income, and produce specialized reports in a very high-volume and high accountability environment
