Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be prepared for physically demanding tasks as part of the job requirements and demonstrate meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of their work
- The candidates should be able to adapt to a combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the workday, and be comfortable with bending, crouching, and kneeling as necessary for the job
- The candidates should excel in a fast-paced environment, efficiently managing tasks and responsibilities
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to visually inspect products for quality and examine and mark defective glass to obtain the best cut
- The candidates should be able to cut glass along marked outlines or around patterns using hand tools and place patterns on or under glass for cutting
- The candidates should be able to place sheets of glass on padded tables or in jigs, measure, and mark glass, and smooth rough edges using a belt sander or smoothing wheels
