Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have basic literacy and numeracy
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to lift up to 70lbs and work in a fast-paced environment
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate a professional interest in safety and security
- The candidates should have the ability to successfully pass security checks, e.g., background, criminal records, which includes an extended 5-year background check
- The candidates should exhibit good judgment, decision-making abilities, and effective communication skills
- The candidates should possess diligence and a keen eye for detail
- The candidates should hold Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to help keep our people, aircraft, facilities, and packages safe
- The candidates should be able to assess and screen packages to prevent and mitigate possible threats in this important role
- The candidates should be able to use various screening technology, processes, and procedures to screen packages and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, contributing to security control
- The candidates should be able to work efficiently to ensure the smooth running of operations and meet tight and critical deadlines
- The candidates should be able to take part in and verify daily equipment inspections
- The candidates should be able to screen packages and perform secondary searches as necessary
- The candidates should be able to safeguard the air cargo network and escalate quality and process issues to ensure they are handled appropriately
- The candidates should be able to monitor general work areas and participate in online and in-person continuous training
