Requirements:

Experience: Candidates should have experience in a call center, operations center, or emergency response center
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work shifts outside regular business hours and be available for flexible shifts, covering a 24/7 schedule and be willing to support the team during occasional system outages and emergencies outside of business hours
- The candidates should be eligible to work in the country of interest at the time of any employment offer and be responsible for obtaining any necessary work permits, visas, or authorizations
- The candidates should demonstrate strong multitasking abilities and the capability to make quick decisions
- The candidates should be able to work independently with limited supervision and a strong sense of confidentiality
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be proficient in MS Office and possess knowledge of AC’s computerized reservation system, historical PNR, and HRMS, with familiarity in these systems
- The candidates should have knowledge of Genetic Security Center systems and exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a high degree of diplomacy, maturity, and discretion
- The candidates should demonstrate strong written skills in both French and English and display sound judgment and time-management skills
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to act as the first point of contact for Air Canada Corporate Security on a 24/7 basis, ensuring that all calls, emails, events, and incidents are consistently handled according to standard operating procedures (SOP) and assess potential or actual security threats to the operation or business based on incoming data, make informed decisions, and communicate potential or actual impacts effectively
- The candidates should be able to triage and manage inbound requests to the GSOC from stakeholders, employees, security guards, and external partners in a timely and effective manner, demonstrating strong attention to detail and an understanding of airline operations
- The candidates should be able to escalate incidents and events reported by employees, customers, or security guards to the appropriate stakeholders and ensure minimal inconvenience to passengers impacted by watchlist or refusal-to-transport processes and monitor access control systems and respond to alarms, breaches, or malfunctions, taking actions in line with SOPs
- The candidates should be able to regularly check the status of security systems, manage all alarms, and conduct preventive checks of sites using monitoring systems and site security teams and under direction from the Senior Manager, Global Security and Intelligence or Global Security Team Leads, monitor threats, trends, and incidents that could affect Air Canada personnel, facilities, operations, and reputation, and report on potential threats following templates and SOP
- The candidates should be able to analyze, process, and forward requests from employees regarding access card requests, access modifications, background checks, and other security-related requests and identify system requirements or enhancements and participate in development, including user acceptance testing
- The candidates should be able to support frontline employees in handling security issues and manage communications from regulatory and enforcement bodies, as well as internal or external customers and respond appropriately to security operations notifications and requests from internal and external parties
- The candidates should be able to ensure the accurate identification and handling of passenger records to control boarding in compliance with regulatory and internal/external watchlist requirements and support the Aviation Security and Security Operations teams with investigations, inquiries, and reporting obligations, and assist with information sharing when permissible
- The candidates should be able to assess immigration cases for acceptance and escort needs, and assist Managers, Security Operations in authorizing armed police officer travel and escort requests and use various communications systems to collect and log information, and create and complete detailed incident reports for events observed or reported to the GSOC
- The candidates should be able to maintain an accurate and detailed shift report, ensuring effective communication of shift events and ongoing incidents with Specialists and Team Leads and engage in personal performance management and development activities, including cross-training within the team and carry out other administrative or operational support duties
- The candidates should be able to actively contribute to the continuous improvement of Corporate Security’s support to Air Canada, identifying gaps, areas for improvement, or successful practices and participate fully as a team member, foster a positive work environment promoting service, quality, innovation, teamwork, and support process improvement initiatives
