Medicentres based in Edmonton, AB is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of GP (general practitioner). Medicentres offer a wide range of medical services, including general medical care, preventive health services, vaccinations, minor surgical procedures, and more. Our state-of-the-art facilities are equipped with advanced medical technology to provide accurate diagnostics and efficient treatment options. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible. The position of GP (general practitioner) is approved by LMIA (Labour Market Impact Assessment).

Salary: $70% commission per sale 30 to 40 hours per week Minimum wage is guaranteed
Employment Type: Term or contract Full time

Shifts: Flexible Hours, To be determined
Work setting: Occupational health centre, Private industry, Urban area

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine or optometry
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials: Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to examine patients and take their histories, order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures
  • The candidates should be able to prescribe and administer medications and treatments
  • The candidates should be able to consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients’ physical and mental health
  • The candidates should be able to advise patients on health care
  • The candidates should be able to communicate health promotion, disease, illnes and accident prevention to patients
  • The candidates should be able to perform patient advocacy role, provide acute care management
  • The candidates should be able to provide counselling and support to patients and their families on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues
