Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Area of specialization: Shipping and receiving
Equipment and machinery experience: Strapping machine, radio frequency scanners (RFS), conveyor, hoists or winches, loader, pallet lifters
Credentials: Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) clearance Certificate, First Aid Certificate, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to build pallets and load, unload, and move products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment
• The candidates should be able to read blueprints to determine dimensions of structures or systems and material requirements, and operate a variety of equipment to load, unload, and move materials and products
• The candidates should be able to ship orders, pick orders and stock, and weigh materials and goods
• The candidates should be able to make labels and attach them to goods, provide customer service, and wrap goods
• The candidates should be able to pack and unpack goods, sort, crate, and stack goods, and install, lash, and secure goods
• The candidates should be able to store cargo and materials, organize and maintain inventory, and organize inventories using computerized inventory control systems
• The candidates should be able to handle and store hazardous products
