Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should be Nursing students currently enrolled in an approved Alberta nursing program
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have active directory status on the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory and must provide a confirmation letter as proof of enrollment from the Directory
- The candidates should have successfully completed a minimum of 100 hours of practicum
- The candidates should be either in their 1st year of a practical nursing program or 2nd year of a baccalaureate nursing or psychiatric nursing program to be considered
- The candidates must attest to this compliance and provide proof of qualification
- The candidates should demonstrate an ability to work hard, have fun, and contribute to a dynamic, successful healthcare team
- The candidates should demonstrate a clear pattern of professional and personal development
- The candidates should have a Health Care Aide certificate or planning to complete within a year of hire
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to be responsible for providing personal assistance, supporting activities of daily living, and providing comfort and support services to patients (clients, residents) who require short-term assistance or ongoing support
- The candidates should be able to work closely with patients, families, and caregivers spanning the continuum of care in home, community, or health care facilities
- The candidates should be able to play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family-centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS
Benefits:
- The candidates will get Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000
