Salary: $21.00 hourly 35 hours per week
Employment Type: Term or contract Full time
Location: Richmond, BC
Work setting: Work in employer’s/client’s home
Target audience: Elderly, Terminally ill
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Asset languages: Cantonese
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be punctual, dependable, organized, initiative, and reliable
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to administer bedside and personal care, assist clients in water (i.e. pool), assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
- The candidates should be able to assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk, assume full responsibility for household (in absence of householder)
- The candidates should be able to change non-sterile dressings, feed or assist in feeding
- The candidates should be able to launder clothing and household linens, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- The candidates should be able to provide companionship, provide personal care, prepare and serve nutritious meals
