Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.

Education: Candidates must need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates must have 1 year to less than 2 years of experience

Work Setting: Hotel, motel, resort

Size of Dormitories / Student Residence: Less than 50 beds

Size of Hospital / Health Institution: Less than 50 beds

Size of Lodging Operation (Hotels, motels, resorts, etc.): Less than 50 rooms

Ability to Supervise: 3-4 people

Work Location Information: Relocation costs are covered by an employer

  • The candidate should be able to stock linen closet
  • The candidate should be able to schedule and assign duties to the housekeeping staff
  • The candidate should be able to respond to complaints of guests
  • The candidate should be able to plan and co-ordinate activities of housekeeping supervisors and crews
  • The candidate should be able to pick up debris and empty trash containers
  • The candidate should be able to maintain an inventory of supplies, equipment, and uniforms
  • The candidate should be able to handle and report lost and found items
  • The candidate should be able to establish and implement operational procedures for the housekeeping department
  • The candidate should be able to ensure that local health and sanitation regulations are carried out
  • The candidate should be able to ensure that safety standards and departmental policies are met

  • The candidate should be able to distribute clean towels and toiletries
  • The candidate should be able to conduct performance evaluations and appraisals
