The Hotel Grand Pacific based in Victoria, BC is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Housekeeping room attendant. The Hotel Grand Pacific is one of the best heritage hotels of the town, serving up with every possible services and facilities to the customers at a reasonable price. We have many years of experience in this industry and are well-known to the community. We have friendly and well trained staffs who help us to operate our business smoothly and successfully. We are a large business (between 100 and 500 employees). The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Salary: $22.70 hourly for 30 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Full time, Seasonal employment
Location: 463 Belleville St, Victoria, BC, V8V 1X3
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, Morning, 08:30 to 17:00
Work setting: Hotel, motel, resort

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications such as a high school, bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidate should be able to work under pressure, maintain tight deadlines, perform repetitive tasks, handle heavy loads, pay attention to detail, stand for extended periods and also for bending, crouching, kneeling
  • The candidate should be physically strong

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be able to work in a flexible environment and also take initiative
  • The candidate should be dependable, reliable and also a team player
  • The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication and also values and ethics

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate should be able to sweep, mop, wash and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture, clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, pick up debris and empty trash containers and also clean changing rooms and showers
  • The candidate should be able to make beds and change sheets, distribute clean towels and toiletries, stock linen closet and also handle and report lost and found items
  • The candidate should be able to attend to guests’ requests for extra supplies or other items, provide basic information on facilities and also address customers’ complaints or concerns
