Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Own tools/equipment: Uniform
Credentials: Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
Security and safety: Bondable and criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, work effectively under pressure, and meet tight deadlines
  • The candidates should be capable of handling repetitive tasks and heavy loads, and be physically fit for demanding tasks
  • The candidates should have a strong attention to detail and be comfortable with bending, crouching, and kneeling
  • The candidates should be able to adapt to a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and be comfortable standing for extended periods

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be client-focused, dependable, and have efficient interpersonal skills
  • The candidates should have excellent oral and written communication, be flexible, and show initiative
  • The candidates should be reliable, a team player, uphold values and ethics, and be outgoing

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, and vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture
  • The candidates should be able to make beds, change sheets, distribute clean towels and toiletries, and stock the linen closet
  • The candidates should be able to clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, disinfect operating rooms and other areas, and clean and disinfect elevators
  • The candidates should be able to handle and report lost and found items, attend to guests’ requests for extra supplies or other items, and provide basic information on facilities
  • The candidates should be able to pick up debris, empty trash containers, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, wash windows, walls, and ceilings, clean changing rooms and showers, and address customers’ complaints or concerns
