Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Statistics, Business Analytics, Information Technology or a related discipline
Experience: Candidates should have 5 years of data analysis and visualization experience

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should have demonstrated ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and respond to requests in a timely manner
  • The candidates should undergo enhanced Reliability Check

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have experience supporting and administering HR Management Systems such as SAP SuccessFactors, have advanced MS Excel skills and have knowledge of SAP Business Warehouse or Enterprise Data Warehousing solutions
  • The candidates should possess experience supporting and facilitating multi-stakeholder initiatives and engagements at all levels, with knowledge of SAP applications and their reporting capabilities including Payroll, CATS, HCM, and SuccessFactors
  • The candidates should demonstrate knowledge of HR metrics and the ability to make strategic reporting recommendations to support data-driven business decisions, along with knowledge of HR-related business operations and processes
  • The candidates should demonstrate the ability to create dashboards using Business Intelligence tools such as SAP Analysis for Excel, Power BI, Lumira Discovery, or SAP Analytics Cloud and extract and analyze large datasets and perform complex financial modeling related to time entry and payroll
  • The candidates should exhibit the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external contacts at all levels, and quickly master and stay on top of new technologies
  • The candidates should possess business analysis skills and experience, including the ability to formulate, evaluate, assess, and document system design requirements, standards, best practices, and tools
  • The candidates should have proven project management and negotiation skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and demonstrate good problem-solving and conflict resolution skills from an analytical perspective
  • The candidates should have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and present complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences and have Payroll or Accounting knowledge

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to work as a member of the HR Systems and Analytics team, interfacing with key business leaders from client departments to leverage HR data and metrics supporting strategic and operational decisions
  • The candidates should be able to support HR transformation by driving accountability, improving transparency, and increasing efficiency and design, develop, and maintain dashboards with a variety of data visualization tools using interaction design best practices
  • The candidates should be able to partner closely with other Corporate Support teams to foster a culture of data-driven decision-making across the city, increasing HR data literacy, enabling data exploration, and disseminating business intelligence tools and processes among end users
  • The candidates should be able to provide key labour relations support by providing reporting related to the operational impacts of collective agreements and creating ad hoc reports and financial models for collective bargaining
  • The candidates should be able to provide HR systems support and system administration as required, including creating, distributing, analyzing, optimizing, and automating reports on a scheduled basis or ad hoc as needed
  • The candidates should be able to assist client departments in identifying opportunities for HR metrics for Workforce Planning, JEDI (justice, equity, decolonization, and inclusion), and other key HR-related processes and priorities
  • The candidates should be able to lead business analysis for department-specific and city-wide data visualization using UX Design principles, including creating and maintaining end-user personas and prototyping
  • The candidates should be able to propose and validate high-value datasets and governance guidelines for enablement through the City’s Enterprise Data Enablement process, building and deploying automated dashboards and reporting processes using business intelligence tools while leading the associated projects
  • The candidates should be able to work with client departments to foster data literacy and user adoption of self-serve business intelligence tools and processes through coordinating testing and end-user support and training and able to support HR Systems Administration as required
  • The candidates should be able to work with client departments to uncover and remediate data quality issues, perform seniority calculations, and other union-related reporting and create and update Privacy Impact Assessments related to new data initiatives and review and respond to Help Calls related to HR systems, including in-house applications and SAP SuccessFactors
