Parks Canada based in Nova Scotia is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of INVENTORY – Visitor Facilities Attendant. Parks Canada is established under the Federal Public Service under the Financial Administration Act. Our company is an agency of the Government of Canada. We are responsible for the protection and presentation of Canada’s outstanding natural and cultural resources through a system of national parks, national marine conservation areas and national historic sites in all regions of Canada. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible. Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as high school, bachelor’s degree, a certificate or a diploma
Experience: Candidates need experience in providing cleaning services.

  • The candidate should be able to make things happen and also demonstrate integrity.

  • The candidate should be able to communicate effectively
  • The candidate should be able to conduct repetitive tasks and also be exposed to minor injury when performing cleaning and minor maintenance activities
  • The candidate should be willing to work shift-work, and/or weekends, and/or statutory holidays and provincial holidays when required and also be willing to wear a Parks Canada uniform when required.
  • The candidate should be willing to take training and update certification as required by the employer.
  • The candidate should be able to provide a reliable Status security clearance and also maintain a valid class 5 Nova Scotia Driver’s License, or other provincial equivalency.
  • The candidate should be able to provide the required proofs in regards to the required qualifications
  • The candidate should be able to communicate through email

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate should be able to clean and maintain Parks Canada Agency buildings/facilities and grounds to enhance the visitor experience
  • The candidate should be able to make decisions based on health and safety guidelines, policies and procedures and also identify basic problems and immediate action needed
