Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have 10+ years of directly related Legal Assistant, Judicial Assistant, and Executive Assistant experience
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should include a cover letter with their application, as applications without a cover letter
- The candidates should have provide a brief overview (approximately 300-400 words) in their cover letter explaining their suitability for the role, demonstrate strong grammar and punctuation skills
- The candidates should have provide a two-year diploma in a related field Legal Assistant, Legal Administration, and Paralegal) supplemented with at least one year of progressively responsible related experience
- The candidates should have demonstrate equivalencies, which will be considered on the basis of one year of education for one year of related legal experience or one year of legal experience for one year of related education
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to manage calendars and schedule appointments efficiently
- The candidates should be able to document and process budgetary and claim expenses accurately, type, format, edit, and proofread judgments, including researching and verifying case and statute citations to ensure accuracy before filing
- The candidates should be able to research and prepare correspondence and memoranda of a highly complex and confidential nature, prepare materials required for court hearings
- The candidates should be able to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion, establish and maintain hard-copy and electronic filing systems, including organizing and classifying records
- The candidates should be able to handle incoming telephone inquiries and mail professionally, coordinate complex travel arrangements effectively
- The candidates should be able to organize meetings and conferences, including assembling all required documents, schedule judicial assignments accurately
- The candidates should be able to perform backup duties for other Judicial Assistants, carry out other related administrative tasks
