Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a secondary school or college diploma
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of three years of previous experience in payroll administration

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have in-depth knowledge of the Income Tax Act, the Employment Standards Act, the Collective Agreements, and HR Policies
  • The candidates should have knowledge of payroll administration procedures and processes
  • The candidates should have knowledge of the functional areas in the HR department as well as the broader university academic units, departments, and divisions
  • The candidates should have knowledge of systems and databases, internet browsers and search engines, discipline-specific software, enterprise software, and technology devices
  • The candidates should have a bachelor’s degree and a Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to process employee payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations
  • The candidates should be able to ensure data integrity by maintaining accurate and up-to-date payroll records
  • The candidates should be able to handle confidential information and adhere to privacy and security standards related to payroll data
